Job Description

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will comply with all PRAM Corporate, Safety and Quality Policies. Schedule work for the Quality Engineering staff. Develop Quality Assurance documents such as Control Plans, PPAP Documents, CMM programs, and SPC documents. Assist Quality Control Inspectors as needed.

  • CMM - Manual and DCC Operation * CMM - Programming
  • Statistical Problem Solving and Process Capability Analysis
  • Developing Quality Inspection Plans
  • Minimum three years experience
  • 7.0 Essential Responsibilities

  • Comply with all PRAM Corporate, Safety and Quality Policies and Procedures.
  • Schedule work for Quality Engineers.
  • Perform Suppliers Audits as directed.
  • Perform Layered Quality Audits - 2nd Level - 1/week.
  • Develop and maintain all PPAP documents (Control Plans, PMEA's, etc).
  • Develop and maintain SPC documents and continuous improvement activities.
  • Review Material, Paint, Heat Treat and other special process certifications.
  • Develop and maintain CMM inspection programs and related drawings.
  • Develop gauge designs.
  • Purchase gauges when approved by the Quality Manager..
  • Member of Material Review Board, as a team member, review and disposition nonconforming
  • material when directed.

  • Become part of a corrective/preventive action process team when necessary.
  • Work with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing Departments and Suppliers on new part development projects - APQP.
  • Assist Quality Control Inspectors when necessary.

    Receiving, First Piece, In-process, Final Inspection, PPAP Layout Inspection, Experience using MS Access, MSWord and MS Excel

    Statistical Process Control ,CMM - Orientation, CMM - running part programs, CMM - DCC Operation, CMM - Programming Commands

    Statistical Problem Solving, Quality Inspection Plans, Gage Calibration, Minimum two years experience
