We are seeking a Medical Coding Specialist I/II to:
Education:
Minimum - High School diploma or equivalent and a graduate of or currently enrolled in a Medical Coding Program.
Preferred - High School diploma or equivalent and Medical Coding Education.
Work Experience:
Preferred - One-year direct coding experience.
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum - Certification as Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Specialist Physician-Based (CCS-P), or a Certified Coding Associate (CCA) within one year of hire.
Preferred - Certification as Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Certified Coding Specialist Physician-Based (CCS-P), or a Certified Coding Associate (CCA).

Physical Requirements:
Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position that is 100% remote. Applicants hired into this position can work from most states. This will be discussed during the interview process.
