Guided by our Family Values, the core objective of this role is to lead the analysis, design, documentation and implementation of business process improvement. The key accountabilities of the position are to create and maintain engineering standards and determine optimal ways to process parts within our industrial manufacturing environment to increase safety, quality, throughput and profitability of the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*Develop, implement and maintain production processes and documentation utilizing process engineering best practices.
oAnalyze and document current-state processes using a data based approach to quantify and qualify pain points, identify root cause and prioritize future state recommendations
oDesign and document future state processes that address opportunities
oDevelop, implement and monitor key metrics related to process improvement
oCommunicate and collaborate with all levels of the organization to implement change agenda and extract the best ideas and solutions.
*Apply lean principles to develop and improve work and material flow
*Assess plant layouts to maximize efficiency and organization
*Prepare process flows for new parts, including engineering master documents with standard rates
*Provide process estimates to sales to help with quoting process
*Maintain and update standard operating procedures, work instructions, routings and production cycle times
*Work closely with product engineering on designs and tooling to ensure efficient manufacturability
*Direct the preparation of process failure modes and effects documents.
*Develop processes for new production introductions into the manufacturing environment.
*Organize and lead lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.

*Bachelor of Science degree in an industrial or manufacturing engineering discipline is required; Master of Science degree in an engineering discipline is preferred.
*Experience working with ERP systems required
*Experience applying statistical techniques in process development, such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and PFMEAs
*Must have extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality systems in a manufacturing environment
*Knowledge of six sigma and 6S methodologies is preferred.
*Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
