Job Summary | Provide academic assistance within the classroom environment for a student/students with a disability. This may be for a student who utilizes a wheelchair and may involve performing fine motor tasks such as using scissors, manipulating objects, prepping textbooks, mixing chemicals, etc. based on class content and abilities of the student. This position will follow directions from the student requiring assistance and will NOT contribute to the content of the class, nor be responsible for assisting the student in understanding the material. This position will assist the student by performing manual dexterity tasks as required. No assistance outside of the classroom environment, nor assistance that is non-academic in nature, is expected. In addition, student worker will provide assistance within the Office for Students with Disabilities with filing, phone calls and any additional clerical tasks. |
Required Qualification | - Must be a CLC student enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours for Fall 2021 - Attach an availability schedule with application - Flexible schedule - Professionalism - History of working with students with disabilities - Ability to maintain confidentiality |

Work Schedule | Flexible, but generally between 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Selected student may start work as early as the beginning of the Fall 2021 semester and must stop by the last day of the Spring 2022 semester. |
