Position Description
Sets up Assembly Machines as necessary for producing Band Brake Assembly according to specifications as required.
Job Responsibilities
- Trains employees; assigns and directs work; provides feedback to supervisor regarding employee work performance; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
- Performs control panel functions including changes and adjustments to fixtures, timing, and light sensors
- Performs changeovers to different models, which include, disassembles and reassembles all stations, clamping units, shuttle plates, ejectors, proximity switches, photo eyes and catches
- Performs daily PM duties, which include checking and maintaining all poka-yokes, coolants, de-rust, distilled water, and lubrication
- Performs daily quality checks per Operation Sheet and documents accordingly.
- Maintains all gauges and adjusts machine process and heat sensor gauges when necessary, calibrates in-line gauges
- Trains towards Setup Technician role
- Performs other duties as assigned
Job Skills Requirements
- Ability to pass Setup Test
- Basic computer and math skills
- Advanced blueprint reading and mechanical ability
- Ability to use various inspection equipment and knowledge of inspection procedures
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control
- Ability to operate material handling equipment
- Knowledge of / learn & develop robotic systems
- Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to understand LEAN principles to perform job duties for continuous improvement
- Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Experience Requirements
Previous manufacturing experience preferred
Physical & Environmental Requirements
Some physical demand; often lifting/moving average weight (25-50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material, may be required to lift up to 70lbs.
Generally good working conditions.
Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
