Job Description
Manufacturing EngineerWork Mode: OnsiteLocation:Kohler, WIOpportunityThe Manufacturing Engineer selects, analyzes and implements appropriate and cost-effective manufacturing processes for new or revised parts or changes in manufacturing processes or technology; collaborate on all necessary documentation, tooling, fixturing, equipment, gaging, programs; verifies and proves out all projects. Evaluates and creates rates and standards for all process implementations or changes. Helps shopfloor in various capacities by improving processes, implementing better manufacturing solutions, designing fixturing/tooling, while working closely with senior level engineers.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESProvide process and cycle time estimates for New Products and cost reductions.Develop and monitor capacity metrics for assigned processes.Develop detailed process specifications and routings for manufacturing.Collaborate on tooling, fixturing, equipment, dies, gages, process documents, and programs for each project.Provide tool designs and requirements for quoting.Verify and prove out all new and changed processes.Investigate and test new tooling and processes to improve cost, quality, and productivity.Participate in safety training and accident prevention.Perform other duties as assigned.Skills/RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred or Industrial Technology considered1+ year of engineering experience.Self-motivated with the ability to work with little supervision.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
