Primary Location: United States (US)- Wisconsin - Horicon Function: Product EngineeringTitle: Product Test Engineer- 73920 Your Responsibilities As a Product Test Engineer for John Deere Horicon Works located in Horicon, WI you will evaluate the robustness of product designs by developing and performing lab tests to assess a designs ability to meet specified product requirements. In addition, you will: Participate on PDP/CI and PV teams as a product test engineer Balance multiple projects and tasks in a fast paced dynamic engineering environment Design test strategies, test plans and test environments Learn and apply new test technologies for electrical as well as gasoline and diesel powered vehicles (working with internal and external partners to develop approaches for product testing) Visa sponsorship is NOTavailable for this position. What Skills You Need Two years of demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and complete assigned tasks while working in a fast paced engineering or a related technical field One or more years of demonstrated problem solving skills One or more years of experience working with suppliers, partners and co-workers in the design or testing of product design solutions One year experience supporting work with a wage workforce including providing daily work direction Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) What Makes You Stand Out One or more years of demonstrated ability to provide problem solving of component and system level failures (mechanical / electrical / hydraulic) on new product development and current production designs Experience and desire to evaluate and test system level requirements for battery powered vehicles Experience developing and validating functional requirements Knowledge of VISION/EETS test request and reporting database tools Education Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: BS Mechanical Engineering, BS AG Engineering, or BS Engineering Physics What You'll Get At John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go.
