They're looking to bring on a manufacturing/process engineer who will report directly into the director of engineering. This position will provide support to all aspects of manufacturing chemicals in the Waukegan location.

They're looking to bring on a manufacturing/process engineer who will report directly into the director of engineering. This position will provide support to all aspects of manufacturing chemicals in the Waukegan location.

Description

  • Support Design, Fabrication, Procurement and Installation of new physical systems

  • Illustrate maxiumum efficiency via designing layout of equipment, materials and workspace

  • Research and implement best practices

  • Manage multiple projects and initiatives concurrently

  • Provide technical leadership; troubleshoot equipment and system issues

  • Analyze current equipment conditions; work with internal and external resources to modify and improve operational effectiveness

  • Provide support to operations and maintenance as needed in daily activities

  • Work directly with engineers, maintenance and production personnel on cost reduction, process improvements, equipment reliability, and safety initiatives

  • Prepare engineering studies, specifications, and cost estimates

  • Develop, write and implement various technical documents including training documents, procedures and process instruction

  • Support compliance with ISO and GMP practices and programs

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, Chemical Engineering prefered

  • 3-5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, chemical manufacturing strongly preferred

  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

  • Understanding of 5S and 6 Sigma

  • Superior communication skills - verbal and written. The ability to work in a team oriented organization.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office, project scheduling, CAD programs, Visio.

  • Experience with computerized maintenance software

Job Offer
