The Packaging Team Engineer is responsible for projects and tasks related to the innovation, design, testing, reliability, quality, and compliance of product packaging and systems. The position supports global operations in the Life Science Division.
Lead and implement Packaging Engineering projects. Standardize packaging materials and practices between sites. Develop packaging specifications and work with the Supplier Quality Program. Identify and qualify reliable and sustainable primary, secondary and tertiary packaging materials. Ensure a superior customer experience by receiving world class packaging with no damaged or leaking products. Manages packaging bill of materials and related tech functions of the Packaging Engineering team. Performs packaging performance testing in the Packaging Engineering test lab according to SOPs/JSAs Responsible for regulatory compliance related to DOT general awareness, function specific testing and reporting, and hazardous material safety and security. Responsible for routes to compliance for packaging materials. Resource for Packaging Engineering test lab facility, including safety, organization, and cleanliness using 6S principles. Resource for packaging design and innovation projects. Resource for packaging line operation, including primary, secondary and outer packaging. Resource for global harmonization of packaging materials and methods. Resource for packaging bills of materials and packaging engineering team data management. Resource for packaging specifications - packaging materials and raw materials of construction. Resource for packaging systems design and implementation projects. Resource for special projects & data analysis related to packaging. Ensures service excellence to internal and external customers.
Who you are:
Minimum qualifications:
BS with 1+ years experience Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science Experience in packaging, mechanical, or chemical engineering, sciences, or equivalent Advanced computer software skills Exceptional communication kills
