Job Description Summary Role will provide manufacturing engineering support for the Electric Ave X-Ray Tubes facility. The candidate will lead a variety of product quality projects ranging from product design changes, process development/stabilization, and new equipment design. Candidates with experience in process intensive manufacturing are preferred (examples: brazing, casting, welding (TIG & laser), measurement, machining, and test).Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Ensure early focus on manufacturability in product design and/or Advanced Technology programs. Drive rigor in process capability assessment, process layout, tooling and equipment developmentWork with manufacturing to identify and resolve manufacturing and quality problems related to methods, processes, tooling, equipment and product design.Identify and deploy breakthrough technologies that can be leveraged to reduce lead time, improve quality, or reduce cost.Monitor and improve productivity using Lean, Six Sigma, Brilliant Factory, or related tools, while ensuring all customer commitments are met with quality product.Support AME initiatives with wide business impact and ensure best practice sharing across the Global Supply ChainEnsure regulatory compliance through Qualification & Validation. Responsible for ensuring rigor in determining processes requiring validation, development of plans and analysis criteria, execution and final analysis and acceptanceRequired Qualifications B.S. Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, Material Science, or related technical degree and 3 years' experience or graduation from a GE leadership program. Associates Degree and 5 years' experience or High School diploma with 7 years of experience in production, engineering or troubleshooting Desired Characteristics 6-sigma DMAIC & DFSS certifiedExperiences in process intensive manufacturing, including: machining, brazing, welding, cleaning, measurement, and test equipmentDemonstrated troubleshooting, analytical and planning skillsAbility to work independentlyDemonstrated strong communication skills (written and verbal) to all levels of the organizationAbility to identify and implement Best PracticesProduct and Process Development experienceSolid working knowledge of GEHC quality management systemExperienced developing tools and processesDemonstrated program or project management skillsDemonstrated experience owning production processes while growing capability in yield and qualityExperience working with global teams Note:To comply with US immigration and other legal requirements, it is necessary to specify the minimum number of years' experience required for any role based within the USA.
