**Job Description Summary**
Systems engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process. All activities that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the users needs. The discipline that executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed. Process that proceeds from concept to production to operation.
The Lead V&V and Test Automation Systems Engineer has the responsibility to drive product quality and customer satisfaction through a comprehensive Systems Verification & Validation (V&V) strategy and execution. This role manages test strategy, test case development, verification testing, coordination of validation testing and reporting for new product introductions and maintenance releases. This role also owns robust and scalable test automation framework for Systems continuous integration testing and verification.
**Job Description**
**Roles and Responsibilities**
+ Working with product development team, develop verification strategy, testing methods and V&V plans based on product requirements and system design.
+ Lead Verification and Validation activities, including planning and coordination of test engineers, V&V and trace reports for program releases
+ Define and qualify test configurations and test equipments
+ Develop and maintain test automation framework and systems automated tests
+ Develop metrics to evaluate V&V effectiveness and drive product quality
+ Drive continuous improvement culture in the team with testing methods and approaches, and by incorporating learnings from the field.
+ Lead Systems automated continuous integration testing activities
+ Monitor and continually improve testing efficiency
+ Represent in regulatory audits
+ Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
+ In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
+ Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in "STEM" majors (Physics, Technology, Engineering and Math)
+ 10+ years of relevant work experience
+ Experience with medical device Verification and Validation activities
+ Experience in test automation at system level for medical devices
+ Experience with various testing methods
+ Proficient in the use of software tools in test automation (Squish, Selenium, Python, Jenkins, Java Script)
+ Proficiency in Java/C/C++ programming language
+ Experience with defect management and defect management tools
+ Experience with requirements and verification management tools
+ Experience with leading teams
+ Demonstrated ability to pursue tasks to completion, coordination of activities and attention to details.
+ Agile methodology in product development at system level for medical devices
**Desired Characteristics**
+ Experience with CT Scanner systems test automation and V&V
+ Experience with HP Quality Center ALM
+ Experience with Linux and SLES OS environments
+ Experience in developing various test plans (EMC, Reliability, Usability etc)
+ Representing in regulatory audit experience
+ Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task
+ Demonstrated problem solving ability and results orientation
