**Job Description**
The Magnetic Resonance (MR) test equipment engineer will be part of the automated test group within the MR business and will be responsible for the design and development of automated test equipment supporting the global MR business. This role will work closely with engineering and advanced manufacturing teams towards development of test strategy, design and implementation of the automated test equipment and transfer to manufacturing.
+ Responsible for execution of engineering and factory ATE design, development, validation testing, inspection and data acquisition for use in the design and validation of Magnetic Resonance hardware and systems.
+ Responsible for design and construction of test facilities, instrumentation systems and the development of test software utilizing NI LabVIEW.
+ Support the development of test equipment internally as well as at suppliers for new equipment as well as updates to existing ones.
+ This role will also support issue resolution for ATEs.
+ Develop both hardware and software for automated test systems, that meet all the design features as defined in engineering test specifications.
+ Develop verification and validation plans, procedures, and report summaries to supportqualification of multiple test stations.
+ Identify and develop effective working relationships with key technology suppliers.
+ Develop test system documentation such as BOM, schematics, detailed design documents, qualification protocols, test procedures etc.
+ Develop project schedules with a demonstrated track record of meeting short and long term dates. Act as activity leader of department activities within a project. (Time-plan, cross functional resource needs, status updates to key stakeholders, impacts on product costs, and cost estimates to execute the project per the plan).
+ Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
+ Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
+ May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.

**Required Qualifications**
+ BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
+ Understanding of hardware including digital & analog circuits
+ Demonstrated LabVIEW coding experience.
+ Competency with creating and integrating automated tools and with system testing.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to work well in a cross-functional team.
+ Estimated travel is typically less than 10%.
**Desired Characteristics**
+ Exposure to medical imaging industry or other regulated industry.
+ Exposure to system test and reliability.
+ 2 years experience developing automated test equipment
+ Operational understanding of Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, RF power meters, Oscilloscopes and DVM's along with remote instrument control via GPIB, USB & Ethernet.
+ Working knowledge with windows server, networking, security and remote system access.
+ Experience developing qualification documentation per FDA Part 820 Quality system requirements.
+ Experience with National Instruments TestStand
+ Experience working with UNIX/LINUX, Windows 7/10 operating systems
+ Software programming skills using Python, Visual Basic, C++, .NET & ActiveX
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel VBA macro programming
+ Experience working with Copley controllers
+ Prior experience writing procedures, test system qualification plans, and test reports.
+ Proven expertise in identifying/resolving issues with test system hardware, software, and Interfaces.
+ Demonstrated program/project planning capability and influencing skills
+ Strong interpersonal skills
