Job Description
Join our team who is committed to the delivery of the highest quality health care service. We are seeking a full-time Waukesha Clinic Manager that is self-motivated, energetic, and a take charge individual.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  1. Manage, supervise, and coordinate activities and services of the Waukesha Community Health Center (WCHC)
  2. Maintain and maximize effective, efficient, and high-quality patient and client services at the Waukesha Community Health Center
  3. Select, schedule, and assign staff, adjusting hours and assignments as necessary
  4. In collaboration with the Director of each respective business function, orient new staff and assure that training and education needs of staff are met
  5. Oversee performance of all staff assigned long-term to WCHC with the exception of the clinical providers and staff rotation for temporary coverage
  6. Participate in and reinforce QI, Safety and other initiatives, in partnership with the Directors of each respective departments
  7. Provide supervision of staff regarding personnel issues, organizational/clinical policies and procedures, and other administrative issues
  8. Administer disciplinary procedures as needed for poorly performing staff
  9. Maintain employees’ timesheets and process Time and Attendance
  10. Conduct staff meetings for WCHC staff
  11. Assist with monitoring patient flow and making adjustments as needed
  12. Facilitate the resolution of staff miscommunications and disputes
  13. Collaborate with Directors of each business function to ensure standardized job performance in keeping with agency standards
  14. Create a highly positive atmosphere of Customer Service in all areas of the clinic.  Participate in organizational Customer Service project as appropriate
  15. Implement organizational policies and procedures and ensure compliance with same (e.g Infection Control, Safety Plan, Joint Commission standards, etc)
  16. Attend meetings at Milwaukee sites related to organizational policies and procedures and other projects and initiatives, as appropriate
  17. Develop and implement Business Development plan to attract more patients to the WCHC in both the medical and mental health service lines
  18. Direct ongoing Business Development through relationship building, marketing, and other methods and techniques as appropriate to the Waukesha community
  19. Attend Waukesha community meetings as needed to promote the WCHC, inform about our services, and create a positive image, reputation, and increased awareness
  20. Participate in the development of the WCHC budget and monitor the performance against budget, make adjustments as needed  
  21. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of health care regulations and oversee WCHC compliance with these regulations (e.g. HIPAA).  Comply with all organizational quality and safety regulations
  22. Ensure cleanliness and comfort of the facility (indoors and outdoors) and request improvements as needed
  23. Maintain working relationship with neighbor business members within our shared contract arrangement as well as the tenant in our leased space
  24. Oversee inventory and stocking of materials and supplies utilizing organizational purchasing and inventory processes and standards
  25. Investigate and resolve patient/client complaints and assist with management of disgruntled patients as situations arise
 Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in health care administration or business field
  2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in clinic management
  3. Working knowledge of personnel management and health care administration
  4. Supervisory experience or demonstrated ability to train, supervise and motivate staff
  5. Experience in community health, public health or in a community agency
  6. Ability to relate well to people from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds
  7. Proven high level written and oral communication skills
  8. Self-motivated and independent, able to work without direct supervision
