Job Description
Join our team who is committed to the delivery of the highest quality health care service.  We are seeking a full-time Medical Records Supervisor that is self-motivated, energetic, and a take charge individual.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Promote the Clinic mission
    • Creates, updates and reviews related policies and procedures
    • Establishes departmental goals, metrics, and performance improvement measures
  2. Role model, teach and reinforce exemplary customer services
  3. Possess and maintain a solid knowledge base of Privacy and Confidentiality standards (HIPAA, 42CFR, Cures Act). Implement controls that strictly adhere to these standards and disseminate this knowledge to the department staff.
  4. Supervise the day-to-day duties of the medical record department and supplement as needed
  5. Provide a positive work environment;
    • Guide, support, motivate staff.
    • Proactively seek to provide learning experiences for team members.
    • Oversee the orientation and training process
    • Giving feedback on workflow, scheduling, safety, and morale related directives as needed.
    • Conducts staff meetings to maintain communications and enable departmental and clinic wide information sharing
    • Conduct morale building events for department
  6. Establish and monitor performance standards and ensure that standards are consistently met
    • Conducting interviews
    • Hire staff and train new personnel
    • Train current staff on new technologies and regulations
    • Monitoring team compliance to quality initiatives
    • Timely evaluation of staff at 6 months and annually using objective data and well developed goals
    • Conduct disciplinary/educational corrective staff sessions
  7. Create a comprehensive and realistic annual staffing and capital budget for administrative approval that reflects departmental needs.
  8. Participate on HIPAA and other Teams as assigned
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of 3-year Medical Record experience    
  2. Minimum of 1-year Leadership/Supervisory experience preferred
  3. Extensive knowledge of HIPAA
  4. EPIC experience preferred
  5. Must demonstrate strong critical thinking, writing, communication and problem-solving skills.
  6. Must demonstrate a commitment to professional growth through in-house and independent in-servicing.
  7. Must have a demonstrated ability to relate and communicate well with people
