Member Position Summary The Sixteenth Street Community Health Center is seeking a COVID-19 Response AmeriCorps Member for our Parkway location in Milwaukee, WI. We are looking for a candidate to deliver exceptional customer service to our clients. This role will serve in conjunction with Administrative and Clinical staff members. Member Duties & Responsibilities -Member will provide information about COVID19 prevention and precautions to prevent spreading of the virus -Member will provide information related to test results and connect patients to resources and services as needed -Member will document phone encounters with patients in EHR -Conduct survey with patients for behavior change or intent to change behavior to improve health. -Member will conduct staff screening every morning and check for proper mask usage -Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within SSCHC ---Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position -Compliance monitoring with Joint Commission and all relevant clinical regulatory requirements and best practices -Additional duties and tasks may be assigned by the Site Supervisor but will not conflict with unallowable or prohibited activities listed from the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS). Qualifications -Be a high school graduate, GED recipient, or must agree to obtain either a diploma or GED before using an education award. -18 years old or older -Hold one of the following citizenship statuses: US citizen, US National, Lawful Permanent Resident Aliens -Pass a National Service Criminal History Check -Excellent written and verbal communication skills including phone etiquette -Positive, enthusiastic, energetic and solution oriented -Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish) Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.

Member Duties : Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers (SSCHC) is a federally qualified community health center based in the Southside of Milwaukee and we have been providing various services and resources to our community for over fifty years. The focus of Sixteenth Street Community HealthCorps is aimed towards enhancing our members' professional development, personal fulfillment as well as our agency's capacity to provide quality services and resources to our patients and community in a safe and welcoming environment. Our program's service year begins in September and each member will be providing 1,700 hours of service within their selected department. Service provided by our members reflect the needs of our community and will support Sixteenth Street's potential of improving the health and well being of our patients and local residents.
