This individual will monitor business activities for compliance with applicable rules and regulations, ensuring operating procedures and applicable documents stay current when regulations change, and compliance activities are documented across the company. This includes planning, developing, executing, reporting and monitoring compliance requirements in a rapidly changing regulatory environment. POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop, initiate, maintain and revise policies, procedures and employee training programs for the general operation of the compliance program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical or improper conduct.Develops and implements policies and procedures designed to comply with all relevant laws, rules and regulations and to address risks and conflicts of interest.Takes a lead role in performing compliance monitoring activities, policy drafting and including complex and significant regulations including, but not limited to, COVID-19, OSHA, EEOC, FCPA, anti-corruption and Import/Export & TradeCollects, analyzes, interprets, and documents information which supports compliance monitoring results.Makes recommendations to MSI management regarding (1) internal controls and safeguards, (2) regulatory and legal compliance, and (3) changes to the MSI's policies and procedure manuals.Reports compliance monitoring evaluations in the form of written compliance reports to General Counsel and management.Responsible for evaluating management response to all compliance reports.Works with business units to develop and maintain internal procedures to support MSI in complying with applicable laws and regulations.Regularly provides regulatory compliance advice and guidance to MSI employees addressing any compliance questions.Serves as a lead advisor during Project Management to business areas addressing unique or new compliance questions, development of new products and/or delivery systems or modifying existing ones.Provides or facilitates training to business units on specific compliance topics as needed, or upon request.Manages complex federal and state government contracts and customer contact activities as necessary to provide for proper contract fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, sales requirements and customer specificationsReview FAR and FAR supplement clauses and provisions in contracts solicitation documents and supports preparation of bid responsesAnalyzes government business opportunities from a contractual risk and profit perspectiveReviews and coordinates compliance with customer specified federal, state, and local government obligationsWorks with, and serves as liaison to sales, operations, finance, pricing, and other cross-functional departmentsCoordinates responses to regulatory agencies and customer requests for compliance documentation, representations and certifications, including FAR clauses and state and local government specific requirementsParticipates in the MSI's Compliance Committee, as needed.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsKNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's Degree in business-related field and/or equivalent experience required.Minimum of 3 years of Federal and State Government procurement or contracting experienceExcellent working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), DFARS, other FAR suppIn depth knowledge of Windows Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Substantial background implementing and/or maintaining programs for federal, state and international corporate compliance regimes (OSHA, EEOC, FCPA, anti-corruption, etc.) that are relevant to the company's operations, compliance programs involving international subsidiaries and employee compliance training programs a plus.Strong organization skills with the ability to manage and bring to completion multiple priorities.Willingness to be flexible, adaptive and the ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentStrong professional demeanor and a high regard for ethics, integrity and confidentiality.Proven self-motivated independent worker.Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, to communicate effectively with all levels of the business.Must be able to model the MSI Mission, Vision and Values.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:There is a minimal risk of injury. Work hours are generally during normal business hours and average at least 45 hours a week. May require some additional hours. Business travel will be required on an as needed basis.
