Job Description
Summary: The Visionworks Eyewear Specialist (EWS) is the very face of our business and is dedicated to ensuring the best possible journey for every patient/customer. This person is trained and knowledgeable about eye health, optics, our products/services, and managed vision care. The EWS personally takes the patient/customer through the Visionworks experience ensuring their eyewear needs are met in a simple, human and bold way. Essential Responsibilities: * Delivers daily sales goals by ensuring the best execution of the Customer/Patient Experience journey * Engage with patients/customers and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs * Measure patients/customers for their eyewear and maintain product/optical knowledge through continuous training and development to ensure eyewear is Right the First Time * Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's financial and customer experience goals including opening and closing the store as needed Education: * One (1) year of related experience * Optical preferred * HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience Additional Requirements: * Complete company required training within required timeframes * Cross training in all departments as needed Mental/Physical Requirements: * Work changing schedules to meet business demands * Work inside location * Strong organizational skills * Speak clearly and effectively * Calculate and manipulate numbers/data * Read English * Problem solve/ reasoning * Meet customer expectations * Work under stress with interruptions and deadlines * Follow procedures and instructions * Use computer effectively and view computer screen * Exhibit empathy in all interactions * Bend and stoop continuously * Reach above shoulder continuously Training Requirements (where applicable) * Complete company required training within required timeframes * Cross training in all departments as needed Benefits * Healthcare Coverage * Paid Time Off * Savings Retirement and Perks including free eye exam and eyewear * Career Advancement * Part Time Benefits * Employee Assistance and Wellness Program Essential Responsibilities related to Physical Demands/Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
