The Customer Service Cashier will be responsible for modeling and promoting Sendik's culture by consistently providing "best in class" service to our guests. The main responsibility as a Cashier will be to build rapport with customers, while efficiently and accurately checking out their grocery order. In addition, the Cashier will assist with gathering carts and baskets, as well as maintaining a neat and organized space.
Hours: 4:30PM - 9:00PM; weekends required

Duties/Responsibilities
Serve customers while modeling Sendik's culture and providing "best in class" customer service, which includes, greeting, engaging, delighting and thanking every guest for their business
Engaging with customers in order to create a warm and welcoming environment
Provide consistent, timely and friendly customer service when answering questions and making suggestions
Encourage customers to participate in our monthly charity partnerships and Red Bag Rewards program
Accurately and efficiently checking-out customer orders; including accurate cash-handling
Ability to achieve and maintain a product scanning speed of 22 items per minute
Assist with bagging groceries as needed
Assist customers with carry-out and car-side deliveries as needed
Assist with gathering carts and baskets as needed
Assist with the training and mentoring of new associates in Customer Service
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety/sanitation regulations and procedures
Assist with all other Customer Service duties as needed
