Planet Technology is teaming up with a Waukesha, WI client to locate and bring on a IT Vendor Analyst for a long term contract to hire opportunity!

Responsible for supporting the vendor management program and budget for the Information Technology department. This position will support end to end activities associated with IT vendor management and payment processing for technology purchases, Software, Hardware, Software as a Service (SAAS) and IT Contract Services. This position also supports the financial reporting and analysis for overall IT spend, compiling data that helps IT leadership make operational and financial decision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Support the vendor management program for technology purchases, Software, Hardware, Software as a Service (SAAS) and IT Contract Services

* Ensure requisitions and payments are made timely and within budget forecast

* Responsible for maintaining IT contracts in SAP Ariba Contract Management Software

* Responsible for using SAP Ariba sourcing to obtain bids for certain IT spend

* Gathers and reports on comparison of data required for IT spend

* Assist with managing and forecasting software license counts

* Support the process and forecast for annual IT budget and on-going budget management

* Assist in compiling, developing, and preparing data for the annual IT budget utilizing historical and current data

* Assist in monitoring and reconciling the on-going IT budget and gain alignment on project budgets

* Conducts analysis of historical budget data against current data, gathering explanations to explain anomalies, resolving issues and errors

* Support the financial reporting and analysis for overall IT spend

* Variance reporting

* Support cost savings strategies, financial forecasts and initiatives to achieve financial objectives

* Communicate analytics results graphically and via narrative

Qualifications/Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree

* 3 years of work experience, with 1 of those years having experience in IT Vendor, Finance, Technology Program, IT Supplier Management, Budget Support (or related experience).

* Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

* Demonstrated financial acumen abilities, skills and reporting

* Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a proven ability to translate analysis into meaningful insights

* Familiarity with purchasing processes and procedures (Purchase Order creation, cost breakouts, etc.)

* Ability to manage multiple simultaneous priorities
