Job Description
The Local Information Security Officer (LISO) is a key role with responsibility for supporting the secure delivery and maintenance of business applications and infrastructure equipment (servers, networks, communication lines, etc.) at ManpowerGroup. This role is responsible for the day-to-day departmental operations, including budgetary, resource, infrastructure management, and business planning. The LISO collaborates with country partners to achieve the desired security posture, operational efficiencies and cost reduction, which requires them to work with people at all levels in the country. The LISO also executes on the organizational strategies for their area of responsibilities. The LISO is responsible for initiatives that modify information assets, applications, infrastructure properties, operational policies and procedures. Making an Impact Responsible for the implementation of technology within the country and work with systems and business analysts, security professionals, technology subject matter experts, support specialists and other project related personnel. Duties within the role are ultimately driven by the complexity, size and risk of the country. Financial and Supplier Management: o Participate in the development and administration of Information Services annual budget forecast of funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials and supplies o Develop specifications and evaluate bid responses when needed o Obtain competitive prices from suppliers to ensure cost effectiveness Operations Management: o Provide oversight for required controls in the areas of firewalls, business systems, data leakage protection, patching, encryption, vulnerability scanning, pen testing, etc. o Ensure the effectiveness of systems, which may include malware detection/prevention, multi-factor authentication, and user access o Manage crisis situations, which may involve 3rd Party support teams o Ensure business processes are compliant with global standards and regulatory requirements o Develop and manage project plans / resources o Set and manage business and team goals Technology Management: o Stay current with technology trends o Maintain software licensing compliance and currency o Provide secure access to the network for remote users o Ensure the security of data from internal and external attacks o Set and meet Service Level Objectives o Development of metrics for use in assessing performance and completion of goals Sharing Expertise Project Management and Reporting: o Monitor and manage work assignments to maximize effectiveness o Provide updates on milestones, and remediation activities escalate when necessary o Support multiple projects with broad scope, ambiguity, and high degree of difficulty o Hands on experience in demonstrating proficiency in a wide range of information IT security technologies, embedded security, and platforms o Maintain a working knowledge of current cybersecurity principles and elements o Serve as a liaison between local teams and the Regional Security team This position is directly responsible for managing personnel, which includes: Meeting with business partners to understand future needs, generate interest in emerging technologies, and proactively identify improvements Gaining Exposure Client (Internal/External) Management: o Evaluate user needs and system functionality to ensure alignment with the business o Provide users with appropriate support and guidance Your Typical Day This role actively seeks ways to redesign the way work is done to meet corporate goals for efficiency by working with Business Partners to automate processes and procedures. Local Information Security Officers may make decisions about the work being done by their teams to reduce rework and maintenance, so resources are available to support ManpowerGroups ability to implement technology which lowers ManpowerGroups operational cost by: Continuously monitoring and evaluating efficiencies and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures Identifying opportunities for improvement and review with the appropriate senior leaders; implements improvements Developing and/or collaborating to implement programming standards and operating procedures Serving as a liaison for Regional Information Security with other departments, divisions, countries, vendors/contractors, and service providers as it relates to security solutions Participating in the evaluation of existing security systems Other accountabilities as assigned
