Join SoftwareONE: #SWOCareers #CareersThe roleRole Summary:The AWS Subject Lead role is a leadership position in our Cloud Compute group and reports to the NORAM Future Data Center (FDC) Practice Leader, playing a key role in the local services leadership team. The AWS Subject Lead is someone who can lead and/or support significant customer programs during the solution and pursuit stages, develop a long-term Professional Services strategy and execute that strategy with those customers. The AWS Subject Lead is a trusted advisor for our customers and the role includes all aspects of business development, deal structuring, deal support and closure in those accounts. FDC engages in a wide variety of projects with customers, providing collective experience from across the customer base. We are focused on successful outcomes for the customer. Our team collaborates across the entire Technology Services organization to bring together services, platform and our software portfolio to ensure that customers get the right solution delivered.Role & Responsibilities:The AWS Subject Lead will further be required to assume the following specific tasks:* Work closely with the NORAM FDC Leader to introduce best practices and ensure efficacy of our AWS Professional Services, and assist in rolling out our Managed Services.* Coach, mentor, train and otherwise support other AWS Team members in the fulfilment of their service engagements.* Actively manages project escalations to resolution.* Responsible for the training and development of each direct report/project manager based on the global service strategy with the support of the NORAM FDC Leader.* Managing of individual and team attainment of project profitability, utilization, chargeability, efficiency metrics and any other relevant KPIs.* Up to 45% chargeability on delivery engagements depending on workload and capacity requirements.* Drive continuous improvement initiatives as an active participant of our change management process; manage team's collection of feedback about possible improvements, issues, and concerns (what is working well, what is not working well) based on feedback from Lessons Learned.* Complete, manage, and maintain Personal Development Plans for each direct report; monitor performance through review and goal setting of each direct report for each quarter.* Create reports and analyze the performance of individual team members on a monthly basis; review results of service projects to manage team performance on a monthly basis.* Engage internal and external customers with Business Development Managers (BDMs) and Solution Specialists to develop strong customer and partner relationships and build a growing business in the NORAM driving AWS adoption in key markets and accounts.* Enable sales for consulting engagements by demonstrating the value of AWS services to support new distributed compute models to help customers learn and use AWS services such as Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), Amazon Simple DB/RDS databases, AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), etc.* Deliver value by leading high quality delivery of a variety of customized engagements for customers in the commercial and public sectors.* Lead great people and attract top technology talent to build high performing teams of consultants with superior technical depth, and outstanding customer relationship skills* Ability to travel - estimated at 50%What we need to see from youQualifications and ExperienceEducation:* Bachelor degree in business administration, computer science, or another relevant degree* Highly technical and analytical, possessing 15 or more years of progressive technology implementation experienceWork Experience:Certification: AWS PRO Certification is a must have ( 10+ years of relevant project management experience* Experience in dealing with customers and clients and providing a high degree of customer support, education, and service* Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges* Consulting practice leadership as leader of high performers, with P&L responsibility* Deep understanding of infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) cloud computing transition challenges* Enterprise architecture successes including virtualization technologies & distributed architecture* Familiarity with archive, disaster recovery and business continuity in global operations* Familiarity with compliance & security standards across the enterprise IT landscape* Experience in team management and skills development* Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Professional Automation System is highly desired* Risk management experience is highly desired* Results based management experience is essential* Able to work efficiently with minimal directionLanguages:* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishKey Competencies:* Demonstrates ability to coordinate, communicate and manage tasks to a tight schedule* Demonstrated understanding of the risk factors associated with project delivery and an ability to mitigate against these* Visible Technology Industry thought leadership on relevant topics related to enterprise technology infrastructure* Ability to delegate, empower, support and inspire team members* Ability to establish priorities, to plan, and be able to deliver to timelines* Ability to work long hours in fast-paced, often stressful environment* Highly motivated with a positive attitude and problem-solving approach.* Demonstrated ability to mentor staffWhat you should really know about us.Strip away everything.
