Seneca also provides vegetable products to other companies under various co-pack arrangements.Seneca Foods in Mayville WI is looking to hire two field rep interns for this upcoming summer. This is a paid internship that can be used towards college credits. If you love to be outside, and want to work in an agriculture/farm setting, this is the job for you! Interns will witness the full cycle of the vegetable crop industry. From planting the crop, to harvesting and canning. Candidates must be 18 year or older to apply.Essential Job Functions:* Field inspection (scouting) of vegetable crops (peas, sweet corn, and lima beans)* Seed delivery and pickup* Grower communication* Maturity sampling* Field records (mapping, pesticide applications, etc)* Assisting with planting and harvest operatio* Research (test plots and trials)General Requirements:* Agricultural background* Ability to work long hours (7 days a week 10-12 hrs/day)* Good written and oral communication* Computer skills (Microsoft office software)* Ability to work in varying environmental conditions.* Valid driver's licenseSeneca Foods Corporation is committed to providing equal opportunity for all, through a positive and continuing affirmative action program.
