If you are an Maintenance Journeyman Electrician looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! This 2nd shift position is based in our South Milwaukee, WI location.JOB SUMMARYThe Journeyman Electrician position will plan, install, and repair electrical fixtures, equipment issues and failures, and control equipment like switches, relays, and distribution panels. Measure, cut, thread, assemble, bend, and install conduit. Test electrical systems to ensure they are operating to code. Assemble, install and wire electrical systems that operate heating, lighting, power, electrical machinery, electronic equipment and controls, and data systems. Must also comply with all electrical, NFPA, and building codes to prevent safety issues.Additional Benefits Include:* Overtime pay for all hours worked over 8 hours in a day and all weekend hours* Paid parental leave after 30 days* 2 weeks paid vacation (pro-rated 1st year)* Pension planESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Performs preventative maintenance inspections* Install conduit and wiring for power distribution, lighting, and machine or equipment controls* Build or modify control panels* Proficiency with conduit ranging from " to 2" and above, thin wall, rigid, flexible, sealtite* Proficiency with raceways, cable trays, crane rails and distribution bus duct* Installing communication wiring* Installation of fixtures, switches, motors, relays, thermostats, process controls, limit switches, speed controls, voltage and current controls* Maintaining and troubleshooting electrical issues on Industrial manufacturing equipmentQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
