DescriptionJob Title: Plate Mounter Department: Press Room Reports To: Press SupervisorFLSA Status: Non-Exempt2nd Shift 4pm to 12 midnightSummary: Plate Mounters are required to mount photo polymer plates onto different size press cylinders with the use of a plate mounter Video and monitorEssential Responsibilities:1) Responsible for pulling plates for production* Check the plates to job jacket and the conduction of the plates and determine if back p is needed.* Cuts photo polymer plate to fit cylinder size.* Mounts the job tickets and plates for press when needed.* Cleans cylinders and stacks them neatly on the racks according to size and press type.* Track supplies and informs the Supervisor when inventory needs to be* Update Plate status in OBI* Keeps area neat and clean* Washes and demounts plates when necessary* Fills the plates after they have been cleaned* During shift overlaps (or depending on situational needs, you can be asked to perform other Pressroom, warehouse, of finishing tasks dependent on training or experience2) Metrics* Down time* Waste* NCR's* On Time Delivery3) Responsible for keeping the plate room neat and organized* Keeps plate room neat and organized for off shifts so they can find plates easilyQualifications:* Must be comfortable working closely with other departments and production associates in a team-oriented atmosphere (Press Operators, etc.)* Frequent contact with plate, tooling, and material suppliersEducation and/or Experience:* Less than High school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceLanguage Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to determine "root cause" of problem and determine corrective action.Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of Business Operating Systems (Globetek); OBI, Word Processing, and Spreadsheet software.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
