Job Description
Overview:The adjunct faculty member provides part-time instruction and monitor teaching/learning effectiveness in courses assigned by the Department Chair. Other essential functions include: Professionalism; Collegiality; Attendance, punctuality; Confidentiality; and Meeting Travel Requirements. The Department of Undergraduate Psychology at Cardinal Stritch University is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of adjunct faculty in psychology beginning Fall 2021. Possible courses to be taught include Introductory Psychology (3-credits), Research Methods (4-credits), and Biological Psychology (3-credits). The possibility exists for teaching in the Spring 2022 semester as well. Courses in Spring could include: Introductory Psychology (3-credits), Applied Research (4 credits), and Drugs & Behavior (3-credits). Some courses may be offered online in the Fall 2021 semester.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.* Meets all classes according to established schedule* Writes, revises and submits syllabi according to specific college requirements* Provides appropriate assessment and grades* Advises students regarding course selection and program progression* Submits grades to registrar in the specified time frames* Maintains regular posted office hours per week for advisement with students and be available for students who cannot meet during the assigned times* Maintains a scholarly knowledge-base or a particular subject area* Other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibilities:* NoneQualifications:Applicants must have a Master's Degree in Psychology.
