Job Description
The University of Wisconsin-University Counseling Services (UCS) of the Norris Health Center seeks to fill two positions for a Sr, no prefix, or associate Psychologist to primarily provide diagnostic evaluations and short-term individual and group therapy clinical services to student clients. Additional responsibilities include: supervise trainees as needed; provide triage screenings and crisis intervention services for students; conduct training's and other campus outreach services; consult with campus faculty and staff; maintain client records; participate in center quality improvement activities; and complete other duties as assigned. These services are provided within an integrated care model within the Norris Health Center.The Associate Psychologist/Psychologist/Sr. Psychologist would be working as a part of a dynamic team of mental health and medical care professionals (including psychologists, social workers, LPC's, psychiatrists, post-doctoral fellows, medical staff and mental health trainees) providing services to a diverse, largely young adult population of graduate and undergraduate university students. Unit supported ongoing continuing education is expected.Minimum Qualifications: 1. Ph.D. or Psy. D. in psychology at time of hire ( ABD will not be considered) 2. Eligible to obtain WI psychologist licensure within 12 months of hirePreferred Qualifications: 1. Passed EPPP exam and eligible to supervise 2. Possess a state license to practice psychology 3. Evidence of experience evaluating and treating clients with eating disorders 4. Evidence of experience working with the LGBTQ population 5. Evidence of experience working with BIPOC population 6. Evidence of experience providing supervision of mental health treatment to trainees or unlicensed staff 7. Evidence of experience working in a college counseling center and demonstrated ability to be highly flexible 8. Evidence of experience designing and providing education training, and outreach activities 9. Evidence of experience doing crisis intervention with high-risk clients 10. Evidence of multicultural competence working with a variety of identities from a social justice lens 11. Evidence of experience working within a brief treatment model 12. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary treatment teamThe position features regular/predictable hours, no weekends, excellent benefits, and no insurance paperwork to be completed.
