Job Description
We Are Hiring:

Job Title:Occupational Therapy Assistant

Department: Behavioral Health

Location: Ascension St Mary's Hospital - Ozaukee

City, State: Mequon, WI

Hours/Work Schedule/Shift: PRN, scheduled as needed, 7am - 3pm

What You Will Do:

Conduct medically prescribed occupational therapy under the supervision of an occupational therapist.

  • Implement an established treatment plan using appropriate modalities. Document findings of patient progress. Seek consultation as necessary.
  • Monitor patient's response to treatment plan. Communicate patient progress and possible goal revisions to occupational therapist.
  • Educate the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits. Provide discharge planning assistance and information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs.
  • May oversee the care provided by therapy 3-Technicians according to established regulations and practice standards.
What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Rehab Therapist specializing in Occupational Therapy (COTA) credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
