About the team: The Compliance Testing team is part of The RISC (Risk, Information Security, and Compliance) organization.The Compliance Testing program is designed to assess regulatory compliance of products and services for the Company. The main objectives of the Compliance Testing team are to determine whether the Business Unit's implementation of regulatory compliance controls for products and services are in compliance with the applicable laws and regulations. Assess whether risks are addressed effectively by the Business Unit. Lastly, to confirm that the Business Unit's policies, procedures, and training requirements are maintained accurately and are available. What you will be doing: Works under general supervision of the Compliance Testing Manager with increased latitude for independent judgment. This level is expected to be able to work independently as well as collaboratively during each phase of the examination process and is an active team member who shares ideas, suggests process improvements, and works toward the identification of non-routine issues. Responsible for multiple concurrent ChexSystems exams of medium complexity. Conducts scoping for exams including: researching applicable laws and regulations, exploring internal resources, and hosting internal meetings to gather pertinent information. Leads compliance assessments and provides direction on deficiencies detected by those assessments. Develop detailed process narratives and/or process flows, identifying process risks and key controls. Meets with business unit compliance partners on a regular basis for status updates on compliance issues. Identifies areas of potential improvement by formulating logical and supportable conclusions. Develop workpapers and other testing materials. Constructs well-written and meaningful reports summarizing testing results. What you bring: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience. Communicates ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and professional manner. Excellent analytical skills. Ability to understand technical documents and legal or regulatory reference materials. Demonstrated ability to plan and complete work within tight time limitations. Ability to understand and apply learned concepts. Focused, proactive self-starter with good interpersonal skills. Good Microsoft Office Suite skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Added bonus if you have: Audit experience helpful. Knowledge of at least one substantive area of compliance, such as banking regulations, anti-money laundering, or anti-corruption. Ability to apply creative problem-solving techniques and tools to compliance issues. Ability to provide information to a variety of audiences and deal effectively with confidential issues that are sensitive in nature.
