If you are a numbers guru who loves analyzing and telling a story via financial data, this Financial Analyst role is for you. This positions primary purpose is to provide financial analysis and reporting for the Lighting business unit. This role will be in-depth with Operations, Manufacturing, and inventory costing transactions. This includes providing accounting support through monthly journal entries and account reconciliations. You must be the financial translator to transform numbers on a page to a non-financial audience. You will tell the financial story for various departments and the overall business unit.What you will be doing:Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliationsInteracts regularly with manufacturing, purchasing, sales, marketing, and engineering to ensure appropriate support of inventory and costing.Preparing budget to actual variance, and various other spending and variance analysesSupporting the quarterly and annual forecasting process, including expense management, capital, and staffing requirements for selected functions within the business unitPrepares daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting and analysis for the business unit executive management team; as well as, corporate and C-suite leadersWorks with other team members and groups throughout the Company to gain efficiencies and implement financial process improvements through standardization and automationContinually finds ways to add value to current reporting and required controls and processesAd hoc reporting and analysis to support business unit decision-making including customer and product line profitability and ROI analysisOther duties and special projects as assignedWhat you need for success:Degree in accounting, finance or related field2 - 3 years accounting and/or finance experience working in a finance role supporting a large corporationCPA or CMA certification, preferredMAC or MBA, preferred Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsExcellent analytical and reasoning abilities and organizational skillsSignificant data modeling experience in Excel using Vlookup and pivot tablesExperienced PowerPoint userPrior experience using Oracle E Business Suite ERP, preferredExperience using Hyperion SmartView and Essbase financial software, preferredData analysis experience utilizing Tableau, Power BI or similar tools, preferredExperience in a high-technology or manufacturing environment, preferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:Office We have an outstanding benefits package that starts DAY ONE!
