What you can expect in this position:
We like to think of our phlebotomists as the friendliest vampires you'll ever meet. We train all of our phlebotomists in the techniques that will help them advance their careers in health care, while working with a compassionate and mission-driven group of professionals.
To get you started on your journey with us, we begin with a six-week training program. This includes four weeks of classroom training and two weeks of mentorship with an established phlebotomist.
What you will do:
* Perform accurate medical interviewing
* Determine donor eligibility
* Perform venipunctures/draw blood
* Ensure donor and recipient safety
* Travel to companies, schools and organizations in the area for public blood drives
What you will need:
* A valid driver's license in good standing; access to an insured vehicle is required
* A high school diploma or equivalent required
* A proven track record of customer service excellence
When you will work:
To serve our community, you will work a varied schedule Monday - Friday and alternating weekends.
