Job Description
We are assisting our client, Kohler Credit Union, a $535 million dollar credit union with ten locations, with the recruitment and selection of a Chief Lending Officer. This position will establish the strategic direction of the mortgage lending, commercial lending, and consumer lending. The Chief Lending Officer will work closely with the executive team and the Board in formulating the overall strategic direction of the credit union. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and implement high level lending strategies that are in-line with the strategic direction of the credit union. Ensure the growth of the credit union's mortgage and commercial lending/servicing portfolios and consumer lending. Provide an in-depth understanding of various lending trends and consumer behavior. Make recommendations and create strategies using this knowledge to best position the credit union to grow our lending portfolio and achieve our strategic objectives. Develop cross-functional partnerships throughout the credit union, with a focus on creating value and providing quality service to our membership. Work closely with the CFO in recommending rate and fee changes through the ALCO committee. Ensure the quality of underwriting loan decisions through the creation of credit union policies and procedures. Develop and maintain board and management policies related to the lending area. Encourage the creation of innovative products that create value for the membership and propel the growth of the credit union's lending portfolio. Effectively operate as a member of Executive Management Team, creating the long-term strategies and organizational alignment around these strategies to ensure the credit union's success. Provide strategic guidance to the CEO and Board of Directors. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to the lending area. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or deemed necessary in order to meet the credit union's goals and objectives. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field or equivalent combination education and experience.
