Job Description
The Building & Grounds Keeper ensures the completion of building and grounds related upkeep and repair.

Fromm Family Foods is a fifth-generation family-owned-and-operated pet food company based in Wisconsin.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain and upkeep the physical grounds of the facility to include the following activities:  cut grass; tend to, repair and plant flowers, grass, trees and shrubs; prune trees and shrubs; water lawn, plants, trees, shrubs, etc.
  • General outdoor and Lawn care duties:  mowing, mulching, flower beds, trash pickup etc. 
  • Sprays fertilizers and insecticides as needed; rake and remove leaves; pick up and dispose of trash on lawns and in parking lots; remove snow using snow removal equipment and shovels; spread snow and ice melting chemicals on ice and snow on sidewalks and parking areas as needed; all other grounds related activities.
  • Perform building maintenance activities to include: collect and remove all waste, placing recyclable materials in the proper containers; other building related activities as requested.
  • Move office furniture and equipment from office to office or building to building.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documentation, etc.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
  • Clean and maintain storage sheds.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
  • Requires a high school degree and three to twelve months related experience; or two to three years of progressively responsible related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Solid work history
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Experience with industrial mowers, trimmers etc.
  • Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
