Join our large (60+), multi-disciplinary team of providers as an OB/GYN specialist at Erie Family Health Centers. Erie performed 2,300 deliveries last year, ranking Erie #1 in IL and top 10 in the country for number of births by a Federally Qualified Health Center.Work with OB/GYN and Family Medicine residents and medical students at our partner hospitals, Northwestern Memorial Hospital (Academic) or Swedish Covenant Hospital (Community). Participate in a full spectrum practice where our OB/GYNs function as specialists, not primary care physicians. All Erie sites qualify for NHSC with a HPSA score of 17Erie HealthReach Waukegan is a growing organization that has a need for either Inpatient, Outpatient or Hospitalist OB/GYNs. Responsibilities:Act as specialist providing support to Family Medicine physicians, Certified Nurse Midwives, APRNs and PAsProvide labor, delivery and gynecology call coverage for patients at one of the busiest labor and delivery units in the countryTeach OB/GYN and Family Medicine residentsCare for a diverse patient population in a culturally sensitive environmentPerform gynecologic surgery through generous hospital charity care programs that facilitate our ability to care for uninsured patientsSeeking a dedicated OBGYN hospitalist - Flexible scheduling requiredMalpractice covered through Federal Tort Claims Act - no tail, ever!QualificationsRequirements:MD or DO from accredited institution, licensed physician in IllinoisBoard Eligible/Certified in OB/GYNFederal DEA license, Illinois Physician's licenseComfortable covering a busy LInterest in and comfort with working with vulnerable and diverse patient populationsKnowledge of or interest in learning medical Spanish (stipends available for immersion language study)
