We are seeking a Patient Orderly PRNto ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. As a Patient Orderly PRN, you will assist the operating room team in rendering patient care, transporting patient's to and from surgical services and to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and orderliness in the Surgery Department and follow AORN Peri-operative Standards and Recommended Practices


  • You will assist in the cleaning of the operating room upon surgery completion.
  • Stock the warmers to see that they have the appropriate fluids and blankets as needed.

  • Move anesthesia equipment to appropriate area for procedures; plugs in machines and suction.

  • You will obtain and return blood to the blood bank with appropriate return slip and assures blood refrigerator is empty.

  • Hold limbs for prepping as requested.

  • Assist with cast applications and restocks plaster cart as needed.

  • Place instruments in autoclaves as needed and delivers to rooms after sterilization.

  • You will take call as assigned

Qualifications


  • American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Healthcare Provider certification upon hire or obtained during employment (required)
  • Previous aide or orderly training (preferred)
