Systems Administrator opportunity in Evanston, IL.
Cardinal Intellectual Property is actively seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our team in Evanston, IL. The Systems Administrator is responsible for the design, maintenance, security, and operation of the systems attached to the Cardinal network. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys working in a team environment resolving issues with the end users. This position is office based but allows working from home 2-3 days per week as per Manager’s requests.

Position Responsibilities/Duties:
Architect, implement and maintain Active Directory, Group Policies, Server 2012/2016/2019, and features.
Support Active Directory, Exchange, and Clustered File Server environments.
Provide Tier 3 level user and hardware support of Windows based network systems.
Perform root cause analysis to quickly recover from service interruptions, and to prevent recurring problems.
Provide support for technology issues and occasional end user support
Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, and monitor system events.
Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
Responsible for Office365 support, including troubleshooting, problem ticket escalations, and end user documentation.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in a technology curriculum or IT Certificate
Experience implementation, configuration and troubleshooting complex Windows 2012, 2016, and 2019 systems.
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure – GPO management, OU structure management, multiple geographically dispersed domain controller management, DFS, role-based permissions, patch management.
Good experience implementing and administering common TCP/IP-based services, including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SSH, SMTP
