Together, we can help people build stronger communities - we're just getting started. **Summary:** As a research Intern at Facebook Reality Labs Research, you will tackle the research questions about how people and AI agents collaborate over the long run. Join a world-class team experimenting with bold ideas in areas including user experience, perceptual science, AI, Human-computer interaction, and design. Our internships are twelve (12) to twenty four (24) weeks long and we have various start dates throughout the year. **Required Skills:** 1. Take big problems and deliver clear, compelling, and creative proposals for how to solve them at scale 2. Create a concrete research plan for your own topic during the internship, the plan needs to synthesize the input from the team, the potential impact, and your own perspective and expertise. 3. Focus on impact, identifying and applying constraints lead to clear outcomes quickly. 4. Carry out the research plan through a mixture of methodologies. Identify the right methodology for the right question, and conduct the research rigorously. 5. Collaborate with other researchers, designers, and engineers to develop, prototype, and test and iteration the solutions. 6. Produce publishable research that appears in top-tier journals or at leading international conferences. **Minimum Qualifications:** 7. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in Human-computer interaction, Human-robot interaction or related field 8. Portfolio featuring examples of research on the human technology co-evolution and user experiences with AI. 9. +1 year of research experience in HCI, AI or related fields. 10. Fast learner: being able to absorb and synthesize information from the fellow researchers and literature. 11. Interpersonal experience: cross-group and cross-cultural collaboration 12. Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment **Preferred Qualifications:** 13. Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op 14. Experience with interaction design 15.
