Job Description
Join our team who is committed to the delivery of the highest quality health care service. We are seeking a full-time Infrastructure Specialist that is self-motivated, energetic, and a take charge individual.

General Statement of Duties:

Support, maintain and improve the resiliency and reliability of services and solutions that are both on premise and cloud based. Duties will cover a broad set of technology including Microsoft on premise serves and related services, Azure based resources as well as O365, Cisco VoIP solutions, LAN\WAN\MAN based data networks, cloud solutions, virtualization and wireless network services delivered to a diverse set of locations served by SSCHC.  This is achieved by working with the Infrastructure Manager and the Senior Direct of Information Systems to plan, design, and developing local area networks (LANs) and maintain robust and resilient infrastructure solutions across the organization.  Manages and maintains and monitor the installation, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network and cloud-based solutions hardware, software, and communication links.  Analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, while providing direct user support as required to improve service deliver and resolution of issues as required.

Position requires normal 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, but there will be times when the role requires working outside these hours when installing systems during non-business hours or on call for breakdowns.  Travel is required between multiple agency locations.

Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with IT leadership, customers, departmental leadership, and executive management to assess near- and long-term infrastructure capacity needs and solution sets.
  2. Assist in the development, implementation and policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network and system administration, usage, and disaster recovery.
  3. Aid in the documentation and development in-depth knowledge of company’s existing IT architecture/infrastructure, and technology portfolio and map network processes
  4. Support and troubleshoot existing infrastructure as required.
  5. Ensure that secure compute practice are used and working with leadership identify opportunities to improve the security of SSCHC computing resources and infrastructure.
  6. Develop, document, communicate, and enforce a technology standards policy as well as all HIPAA and SSCHC procedures and policies to ensure compliance requirements are met.
  7. Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of infrastructure development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and infrastructure resiliency and reliability.
  8. Assist in the development, documentation, and communicate of strategic plans that maximize the investment in technology infrastructure, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.
  9. Assist in the development and execution of test plans to check infrastructure and systems technical performance.
  10. Conduct research on infrastructure related products, services, solutions, protocols, and standards as assigned and remain abreast of developments in the industry.
  11. Oversee and implement patching and updating of systems as assigned.
  12. Working as part of the technology team, help team members to learn new skills and expand upon existing skills to help the team as a whole to grow and to improve the resiliency through cross training.
  13. Work with users and leaders to aid development of skills and knowledge associated with our technology solutions.
  14. Work with technology leadership and the organization to implement and maintain secure computing practices.

Qualifications:
  1. Proven experience and success with system and network and implementation, operation, and troubleshooting.
  2. Proven experience with capacity planning, security principles, and general network management best practices.
  3. Preferred, experience within a healthcare organization using HIPAA guidelines and compliance requirements as well as NIST based security principles.
  4. Strong, hands-on technical knowledge of network, servers, cloud-based partnerships and virtualization solutions, with strong product experience around Microsoft, Cisco and VMWare product sets.
  5. Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards, including monitoring performance tools.
  6. Eight plus years of experience in related roles preferably showing growth in skillsets and expansion of duty sets during this timeframe.
