**Software Development Engineer Internship - Grid Services**
The Smartsheet Grid Pillar Team owns all things Grid. This includes all front-end components such as Grid View, Project/Card/Gantt/Calendar Views, Column Types, Sheet export/import and backend components including the Grid Data Access Layer, Schema, Calc engine, Link Processing, and Grid. You will learn to build new features on this team to contribute to the success of Smartsheet.
You will be a remote employee who will report to an Engineering Leader, based out of our Bellevue, WA office. This is a full-time internship, that pays $35.00 an hour.
**You will:**
1. Work to add new features like new formulas, menus to Smartsheet Grid
2. Participate in the entire development life cycle, from concept to release
3. Build JavaScript client code, using web technologies
4. Develop integrations with the big players in tech: Amazon Web Services, Google, Salesforce.com, Box, Microsoft, PayPal, and more
5. Participate in all phases of quality assurance and defect resolution
6. Work on Pacific Time (PST)
**You have:**
1. Enrolled in a Computer Science program or a related field
2. Software development experience
3. Legally eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis
**Nice to have:**
1. Experience implementing responsive designs for mobile, tablet, and desktop browsers
2. Familiarity with SaaS apps (Google Docs, and Salesforce)
3. MySQL database experience (performance, scalability, availability
4. Experience with Elasticsearch, Memcached, or NoSQL datastore
5. Experience developing service framework
