Job Responsibilities

  • Journeyman Millwright Certification or equivalent experience
  • Assist in efficient and reliable operation of the maintenance department.
  • Perform hands-on equipment maintenance and troubleshooting of plant equipment.
  • Participate as an active member on the Safety Committee.
  • Ensures hazardous and non-hazardous wastes generated during equipment cleaning for maintenance repairs are properly handled.
  • Work with and help guide Class B Mechanic to effectively perform site maintenance.
  • Assist in (Leak detection and repair) LDAR program, including maintaining the equipment, as directed by Lead Tech.
  • Assist the Lead Tech to update and maintain written maintenance procedures.
  • Perform work orders and inspections as defined in the preventive maintenance (PM) programs and keep up to date records of these activities in the PM database.
  • Perform PMs as schedule including laser alignment, leveling and squaring of pumps and replacing broken components.
  • Assist in the inventory of essential maintenance materials and critical equipment spare parts.
  • Maintain SAP work order flow, processing, and completion.
  • Responsible for general housekeeping in the maintenance shop and boiler room.
  • Work with contractors as needed during maintenance activities.
  • Share equally in off shift call out coverage for maintenance department based on pre-determined schedule.
  • Participates on investigations teams as needed for safety, quality, or environmental incidents.
  • Self-directed in performing assigned duties.
  • Other duties as required by Lead Technician.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Position requires prior experience as a millwright, and a minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Operates with a strong personal safety mindset - stops unsafe activities and will adjust work to limit exposures when they become present.
  • Communication- Utilizes written, verbal and/or electronic communication to keep up to date on activities within the site. Communicates directly, honestly, respectfully and in a timely manner. Uses communication skills that enhance teamwork (listens first).
  • Fosters teamwork and respect in the workplace
  • Demonstrates a commitment to quality and a focus on the customer

Education Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent is required. Associates degree in mechanics or other related field or equivalent preferred.
  • Journeyman Millwright Certification required.
