Job Description
Immaculate Conception-St. Joseph School located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago is seeking full-time dynamic, collaborative, professional and enthusiastic educators for the 2021-2022 school year. ICSJ School's core values are rooted in a strong belief in a team approach to teaching and learning in a faith-based learning environment. We value the dignity of all students, staff and families and foster the importance of building strong relationships in our school community.
Under direction of the school principal, instructional staff plan for and provide innovative learning experiences for students in an enriching faith filled environment. Responsibilities include facilitating an atmosphere and environment conducive to the spiritual, intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of students. Staff members supervise students in a variety of school related settings and monitor and evaluate student outcomes in a data driven setting. Strong written and verbal communication and professional interactions with students, parents, staff and community are essential. Teachers continuously develop, select and modify instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students with the support of counselors and learning specialists. Teachers are responsible for providing varied assessment practices and student feedback, employing responsive classroom management strategies and maintaining appropriate records following required procedures and practices.
