Job/Internship Description
Job Description This is part time, approx. 20 hour a week position. JOB OBJECTIVE: Principally involved in managing digital assets that support Promega's sales and marketing efforts. Assign and update metadata records, audit collections of assets, built and update microsites for content distribution, and gather analytics data for digital marketing reporting. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 1. Conduct routine asset management tasks: upload assets, add and update descriptive metadata, and assist in general maintenance of our digital asset management system. 2. Perform audits, archive expired assets, and assist in general cleanup throughout our digital asset ecosystem. 3. Organize and curate assets for business needs throughout the company. Create collections, portals, and Experiences as needed. 4. Update records in the Literature Maintenance Database. 5. Provide asset download reports and fill metrics requests. Gather analytics data as request by asset creators, marketing teams and other key stakeholders. 6. Maintain complete and accurate records, and give regular reports on the status of projects. 7. Understand and comply with ethical, legal and regulatory requirements applicable to our business, with direction. OCCASIONAL DUTIES: 1. Attend and participate in courses appropriate for increasing job and career-related skills. 2. Participate in training as required. MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Excellent organizational skills and accuracy and a relentless attention to detail. 2. Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills. 3. Ability to work individually and collaboratively in a global team environment. 4. Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language. 5. Currently enrolled in a Bachelor degree program. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Cataloging, metadata management, or other library science-related experience. 2. College course work in biological sciences or a related field. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Ability to operate a computer and utilize software to accomplish required tasks as outlined above on a continuous daily basis during a normal workweek of 20 hours. Diversity is important at Promega.
