Contributions

Key Responsibilities:

As a Design & Strategy intern, you will support our teams using our Design Intelligence framework by incorporating human-centered methods to solve complex design challenges. You will work with cross-functional teams including service designers, UX designers, developers, analysts, system architects, marketing professionals, and business development stakeholders.

    Participate in all aspects of the design process to frame problems, define insights, and understand user and mission needs
  • Participate in and support user research and synthesis including user and stakeholder interviews, facilitated workshops, and co-creation sessions
  • Support our Design Intelligence Studio events and activities on an as needed basis
  • Support internal and client demos and presentations as needed

Qualifications
  • Current study of or relevant experience in Human-Centered Design
  • User Experience Design, Service Design, and/or Design Strategy
  • Understand the relevance of and how artifacts like journey maps, service blueprints, persona's, ecosystem, and experience maps fit intocrafting user and service experiences
  • Knowledge of UX and/or Service Design methods, tools, and best practices including wireframing, low and high-fidelity prototyping, and moderated and unmoderated user testing
  • A natural curiosity for solving problems coupled with an analytical mindset
  • A collaborative nature with good written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. government Public Trust Security Clearance
  • Bonus points for experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Invision, or other prototyping tools
  • Extra bonus points for Visual Design or Data Visualization talent
