Key Responsibilities:
As a Design & Strategy intern, you will support our teams using our Design Intelligence framework by incorporating human-centered methods to solve complex design challenges. You will work with cross-functional teams including service designers, UX designers, developers, analysts, system architects, marketing professionals, and business development stakeholders.
- Participate in and support user research and synthesis including user and stakeholder interviews, facilitated workshops, and co-creation sessions
- Support our Design Intelligence Studio events and activities on an as needed basis
- Support internal and client demos and presentations as needed
- Current study of or relevant experience in Human-Centered Design
- User Experience Design, Service Design, and/or Design Strategy
- Understand the relevance of and how artifacts like journey maps, service blueprints, persona's, ecosystem, and experience maps fit intocrafting user and service experiences
- Knowledge of UX and/or Service Design methods, tools, and best practices including wireframing, low and high-fidelity prototyping, and moderated and unmoderated user testing
- A natural curiosity for solving problems coupled with an analytical mindset
- A collaborative nature with good written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to obtain a U.S. government Public Trust Security Clearance
- Bonus points for experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Invision, or other prototyping tools
- Extra bonus points for Visual Design or Data Visualization talent
