Michael Best & Friedrich LLP is seeking a Junior to Senior Level Electrical Engineering Patent Associate, Agent or Engineer to join our Intellectual Property Practice Group. This position can be based out of any of our offices.2+ years of patent prosecution experience at a firm or in-house is required for Patent Associate applicants. Experience writing patent applications or office actions is strongly preferred for engineer or agent applicants. Our ideal candidate will hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer science.

• 2+ years of prosecution experience at a firm or in-house (for associate applicants).
• Experience writing patent applications or office actions is strongly preferred (for engineer or agent applicants).
• Undergraduate Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• Computer Science and/or software background is strongly preferred.
• Graduate-level experience or advanced technical degree is a plus.
• Involvement with patent analysis/opinions of counsel and IPRs is a plus.
• Admission to the USPTO is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
• Initiative and a can-do attitude, especially when working as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Valid authorization to work in the U.S.
