Job Description

Reporting to the Manager of Protein Procurement, you will build category strategy for assigned supplies, materials or services. You will follow the approved buying programs using the established procurement policy.

Position Responsibilities

  • Run reports on a scheduled basis and provide supporting analytics
  • Manage Procurement orders in SAP, and manage Right Angle for forecast accuracy
  • Manage orders, contracts, and raw material into SAP
  • Build relationships with internal partners and suppliers
  • Support business process improvements and documentation
  • Conduct research and provide analytic support for issues and ad hoc projects
  • Support R&D on innovation projects and work with the plants to manage the inbound supply chain
  • Support Protein Least Cost Modeling for facilities to use the lowest cost material for plant facilities to use in production
  • Manage raw material inventories for assigned projects/plants to minimize material loss or obsolescence
  • Develop an understanding of supply and demand, market dynamics, and cost drivers
  • Develop an understanding of company facilities and requirements, capabilities, processes, and constraints
  • Support Trade with managing supplier certifications
  • Support Supplier Excellence Program

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor level degree
  • Experience in influence management, project management, and team building
  • Present complex material to small and large groups
  • Experience using SAP or comparable ERP system
  • Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel - vlookups, formula relationships, pivot tables) experience
  • Minimal travel
