The Opportunity

OurKalkaska, MI (Traverse City area)location is looking forEnvironmentalField Technician (Field Laborer),which are responsible for the performance of tasks associated with the operation of remediation systems, the construction of remediation systems to perform water treatment to contaminated soil, water and air,tank cleaning, high pressure water blasting, emergency response clean-up, hazardous waste clean-up and the handling of hazardous materials.

Company Paid Travel! Opportunity to travel throughout the US! Travel can be anywhere from 1 day or up to 5 weeks, based on business demands and job scope.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Perform labor intensive activities in all weather conditions throughout the shift;
  • Work in atmospheres with low clearances, confined spaces and at heights;
  • Operate pumps (water, electric and diesel powered) monitoring flow rates and system pressures on media vessels;
  • Perform challenging labor-intensive work in various locations nationwide;
  • Assist in the plumbing of remediation systems.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • Valid Driver's License Required;
  • Ability to travel occasionally and workin all weather conditions;
  • Strong mechanical skills is an asset;
  • Previous experience working with remediation equipment is a strong asset.
