Our location in Abbott Park, IL, currently has an opportunity for a Sr IT Program Manager.   Abbott is seeking an Order to Cash Sr. IT Program Manager to join our Business Technology Group that combines functional and technical responsibilities. The Sr. IT Program Manager has primary responsibility for the planning, building and delivery of global Order to Cash solutions for any Abbott division. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven Information Technology professional with proven track record.  Strength in aligning IT solutions with business strategies and building strong relationships across various clients and IT groups.  They will have experience supporting all aspects of information technology, including the following:

Management experience implementing and sustaining strategic programs with an emphasis on client collaboration, employee development, and project and operations execution including... Strategic Planning, Operations Management, Vendor Management, Staff Management, Process Improvement, Organizational Development, Application Development, Regulated Industry, Implementations, and Project Management.

  • Revenue Management solutions, with emphasis on global Healthcare
  • Contracting solutions, with emphasis on global Healthcare
  • Pricing solutions, with emphasis on global Healthcare
  • Tender Management solutions, with emphasis on global Healthcare
  • Trade Promotion Management Optimization, with emphasis on global Healthcare consumer goods
  • Configure, Quote, Price (CPQ) solutions, with emphasis on global Healthcare
  • Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) solutions, with emphasis on global Healthcare
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions, with emphasis on global Healthcare
  • Integration solutions
  • Global Data Warehouse solutions
  • Master Data Management (MDM) solutions
  • Expedite, manage and coordinated a multitude of interrelated IT project activities within the constraints of human and financial resources and changing priorities to ensure the successful completion of projects    
  • Work with Strategic Business and Executive IT management to establish project goals and business case
  • Assess the degree to which changes to scope, issues and risks will affect projects working with division or senior/executive management and sponsor to gain agreement for resolution
  • Measure performance to assure the project is progressing as compared to original plan and budget         
  • Lead project managers and teams in developing, executing and delivering a program plan ensuring that authorized resources are obtained to make certain that all activities are performed. Gather lessons learned and obtain final project approval from sponsor and stakeholders
  • Communicate project progress by producing project reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support information to Project Team, Division, Cross Division and Executive management.  Make recommendations based on current project status to resolve issues         
  • Coordinate resources to ensure program and business needs are addressed through proactive priority management with business leaders        
  • Lead workshops to draw out requirements and create visual process flows and ensure proposed solutions are clearly articulated to the project team
  • Participate in pre-program (Phase 0) activities and provide demos/ proposals to our clients
  • Lead project meetings relevant to the program
  • Act as an escalation point for risks and issues to the run team and division management in closing critical defects on the application
  • Act as the bridge between the technical and functional team to drive successful implementations
  • Willing and able to travel domestically approximately 10% of the time for project needs
  • Manage, motivate and mentor cross-functional and enterprise project teams                     
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures      
  • Manage Programs /projects at the division or enterprise level 
  • Make strategic decisions that impact Division or site                       

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

Required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Have at least 10 yrs experience in project management, business systems analysis, software development, deployment or operations with a minimum of 9 years managing projects. Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into a scalable solution design
  • Strong presentation and written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously; workload will be a blend of small, medium, and large implementation projects
