A growing fabrication shop is hiring a Class A Fitter/Welder This company manufactures industrial furnaces, metal tanks, mining and conveyor equipment.
Responsibilities
Receive instructions, prints, sketches and work orders
Read and interpret blueprints and
Plan fitting operation and select equipment and layout, assembly and welding
Position, align and fit components
Bolt and weld parts using various types of welding equipment
Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts using cutting torch and hand tools
Assemble structural forms
Interpret weld symbols and follow weld procedures
Perform cleaning operations using chipping hammer or grinder to remove flux, burn-though and splatter
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years experience as welder/fitter
Read and interpret welding instructions and structural drawings
Fit, tack and weld in the following wire diameters: .045 and 3/32″
Experience with MIG, FluxCore & heavy plate welding
Read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Excellent communication skills
Good math skills
