The Milwaukee Catholic Home, a dynamic faith-based continuing care retirement community on Milwaukee's East side, is seeking part-time R.N Supervisor to work every other weekend OR every weekend, Saturday & Sunday; 2nd shift, hours are 2:30pm - 11:00pm.

The Nurse supervisor is responsible for the supervision of all Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants and Medication Assistants on his/her shift, utilizing the nursing process, philosophy and objectives of the organization and the Nursing Department within the scope of gerontological nursing. Additional duties include:

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques
• Prepare equipment and aide physician during treatments and examinations of residents.
• Observe residents & record significant conditions and reactions.
• Notify physician, plus family/next-of-kin of resident’s condition, reaction to medication, treatments and significant incidents/changes.
• Take temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal to assess condition of resident.
• Observing techniques and services rendered by nursing staff.
• Identifying problem areas such as absenteeism, etc.
• Preparing work schedule and assigning duties to nursing staff.

Requires valid state of Wisconsin RN license. Prior long-term care experience and supervision is required.
