Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Individual must be capable of performing all of the following job duties as required:

  • Must be able to communicate well with others.
  • Must be able to operate material handling equipment.
  • Responsible for maintaining records of ingredients and packing materials to ensure proper rotation and 100% traceability.
  • Responsible for all GMP's (good manufacturing practices)
  • Loads and unloads materials onto or from trucks, pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
  • Conveys materials from storage areas or work sites to designated areas.
  • Responsible to help maintain neat, clean and organized warehouse
  • Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production lines.
  • Stacks or assembles materials into bundles.
  • Required to work overtime as needed.
  • Responsible for specific reasons for downtime due to lack of ingredients or packaging.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Notify Lead or Supervisor of problems with packaging material and complete problem report to substantiate claim.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Any other tasks assigned

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Trash compactor trained
  • Bailer trained
  • SAP trained / Data input into SAP system
  • OSHA Forklift License.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Education and / or Experience:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
