The Staff Accountant I is responsible for providing support for financial functions including creating and posting journal entries, general ledger account reconciliation and analysis, Sarbanes Oxley compliance and fulfilling various external audit requests, and financial reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and distribute Daily Recap Report that summarizes month to date sales, orders and backlog.
Actively participate in month-end closing process by accurately and timely preparing account analysis and related journal entries.
Reconcile various general ledger accounts and prepare related supporting schedules as requested.
Investigate and document reconciling items.
Assist in preparation of various financial reports and charts with high-level accuracy.
Participate in preparing monthly financial book.
Review, process, and reconcile 3rd party commissions and dealer contract maintenance payments timely and accurately.
Contribute in executing plan for internal control compliance.
Work with other departments and internally within the accounting group in providing financial services support.
Prepare and maintain documentation of current processes and procedures.
Assist with various external audits as required. Provide requested items accurately and on a timely basis.
Comply and adhere to the organization's overall financial policies.
Act as SAP Super User within functional area as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field
1-3 years of related experience

Additional Qualifications:
Knowledge of database and general ledger accounting computer application systems with the ability to supply accurate financial information under tight deadlines;
Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley, GAAP and FASB standards;
Proven track record of successfully managing shifting deadlines and priorities in a fast paced environment;
Effective verbal and written communication skills;
Previous experience working in SAP.
Demonstrated knowledge in a variety of accounting concepts, practices and procedures;
Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP.

Preferred Qualifications:
CPA/CMP certification.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
